Getting Started With Our Background Check Services
How do I get started with background checks?
You can begin your background check by either calling 732-321-0041 ext. 100 or by filling out the Contact Us form. In addition, we require several forms that must be faxed to us. These are included in our Pre Employment Starter Kit.
What forms need to be filled out before I can begin background checking?
The four forms that are required to begin searches include the Agreement for Service, Application for Service, Credit Card Authorization, and Subscriber Certification. These can be found here.
Our account has been created. Is there an instruction manual?

I’m an individual and I do not represent a business. Can I still use IQ Research’s background check services?
By law, IQResearch can only offer background check services to licensed businesses.

Does IQ Research offer volume-based discounts for background checks?

Background Check Security
Are my background checks and data confidential?
Yes. IQResearch strives to provide you with safe, secure and confidential background checks. The results are kept for your private use and any individual or employee authorized to view them.
Is IQResearch secure? What is TruSecure™?
IQResearch has the TruSecure seal of approval, meaning that we meet or exceed the standard for providing safe and secure searching. TruSecure is a third-party company providing risk management services and products to ensure the privacy and security of clients.
Technical Questions
Why can’t I export data to my own computer?
IQResearch does not enable data export in order to optimize security and confidentiality. All reports are printable for hard copy files.
I’m a Mac user. Can I still use IQResearch’s services?
Man users can benefit from IQResearch’s services. Mac users must install a PC simulator in order to do so to allow them to view the results of their services. Please contact info@IQ Research.com for details.
Background Checks and Background Checking
When can I do background checks and access my account?
You can conduct a background check 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week.
How long will my background check take?
Results for background checks could be instantaneous, or take up to 48 hours, depending on the type of background check you choose.
What does it mean when no results are found when I do a search?
When no results are found it means that either the individual in question has no history in that particular aspect of public life (i.e. no criminal past, no mortgages). or that the particular name you have searched has no records. To ensure accuracy, search for aliases or name changes and do a search on those.
How can I view previous background checks?
All previous background checks are stored in your IQResearch.com account. Simply choose which report you would like to see by clicking on the name of the individual screened. You may view your reports as often as you wish.

How will I get my report?
You can view your report at IQResearch.com by logging into your account or you can have it emailed to you in .pdf format. For .pdf formatted reports, you must have Acrobat Reader (tm) installed. Acrobat Reader is free and can be downloaded here.
General/Miscellaneous
Why are there fewer services for legal professionals and law firms?
We are prohibited by law to offer certain pre employment services to law firms - namely, credit reports, driving records, and education information.
Where do you get your background check information?
IQ Research pulls information from local, state, federal and international databases according to your background check specifications. Once data is entered by you in the report screen, the request is sent to the corresponding database in order to find a possible match.
What are the legalities regarding background checks?
All information provided by IQResearch is public record and completely legal to gather and share, usually with the permission of the individual in question. For example, under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, all persons screened by potential employers and lenders must have signed permission.
Can I find out if someone has already been investigated by another company or if he or she is applying for another job?
IQResearch does not supply private information such as jobs applied to but not hired for, or jobs currently being applied for. In addition, we do not provide information about previous searches on an individual.
